Sample Statistics Results: Mean: 1032.72 (green line) Median: 983 (blue line) Standard Deviation: 525.87 Skew Explanation: This histogram shows that 72% of the total precipitation fell at or below the median level. With only 28% accumulating at the higher levels it causes the slope to curve more gradually thus creating the rightward skew as the tail tapers off. The statistic show that the data is skewed left. Though the Mean is greater than the Median, the difference of 49.72 is extremely low compared to the Standard Deviation. Empirical Rule: 68% of the precipitation accumulated between 506.85mm and 1558.59mm. This can be seen in the histogram as these levels are reflected through the greatest number of months thus creating the peak at the center.
