(a) The explanatory variable of the dataset is the number of jet skis in use during the period.

(b) The scatterplot shows that as the number of owned jet skis increases, so to does the number of accidents

3.10

(a) The direction of the relationship indicates an increase which would mean the variables are positivelt associated

(b) The distribution is linear.  It has no outliers and follows the linear model well.
