The way I was able to collect data as my sampling method I created a voluntary sample method. I set a population perameter pertaining to the general population of Kane County with the consideration of the proportion of DUI holders within Kane County. My sampling method provided me with a sample statistic to compare to the actual entire population of Kane County versus my self serving survey.

Question one was a qualative question providing a yes or no answer, rather than just a numerical answer. This question provides a quality of the survey takers that are either of legal drinking age or not, also providing a nominal level of measurement. My second question was another qualitive question that provided answers of how often they consumed alcohol with a nominal level of measurement. Question three measured the data by qualitive data, which was also a nominal level of measurement. Question 4 was also qualitive with a yes or no answer that can be a nominal level of measurement. Question five quantative providing a number of drinks consumed by survey taker, it was a ordinal level of measurement.

I calculated the proportion of DUI offenders in the Kane County area. The proportion of adults of legal drinking age in Kane County is 0.1515151515 or 15.15151515% of adults of age of consumption living in Kane County of the 33 participants. I also calculated the standard deviation, it was 0.464663857.

A. A proportion greater than 15.15% of the population of Kane County will be DUI holders.

B. Null hypothesis is the proportion of DUI holders in Kane county will be 15.15% of the population. Alternative hypothesis is that the proportion of DUI holders will be greater than 15.15%.

C. In order to conduct this, I would have to do a left tailed test.

D. My sample statistic was of 69 survey takers in the Kane County area. Of the 33 who fit the sample statistic, 5 were DUI holders.

E. In order to calculate the test statistic I would use a normal distribution method.

F. After calculating, my test statistic I cannot reject my null hypothesis, therefore my 0.05 percent score for P value is more than.

G. To conclude, my claim is not proven because I cannot reject my null hypothesis.
