Soda Survey Summary
Mail Print Twitter Facebook

A recent survey asked respondents what percentage of their daily fluid intake is soda. It also asked if they drink diet soda, their gender, and their age.

Age seems to have no effect on percentage of daily soda intake:

Result 1: Scatter Plot of Age vs. Soda Consumption (percentage) [Info]

Also, there appears to be little difference between male and female soda consumption:

Result 2: Histogram of daily soda consumption grouped by Gender [Info]

Ah, but this study isn't without significance.

44.62% of female respondents drink Diet Cola, while only 27.2% of males prefer diet.
(Chi-Square 8.56, **P-Value < 0.01)

95% CI:
Females (from the population "Statcrunch users" ;)) prefer diet soda more than Males by 6-29%

Nothing wrong with mining for data. ;)
