Europe and Americas regions are skewed to the right because not all universities and colleges get higher scores than 40-60. For Asia/Pacific, It is hard to identify whether it is symmetric or skewed because of its histogram. All regions have outliers and gaps but only Asia/Pacific has more.

Academic Rankings as of 2009
Americas has larger spread and larger IRQ than other regions because of its variety in scores. Its median is higher than both IRQs of Europe and Asia/Pacific regions.
