Farm Animals Slaughtered
The data was collected on farm animal killings per year for 59 years. From 1950 to 1995 it was only recorded in increments of 5 years. Each data column represents a different type of animal; Cattle, Chickens, Ducks, Hogs, sheep and lambs and Turkeys. In 1950, .1 billion animals were slaughtered, in 1970 it was 3.2 billion, in 1990 it was 6.4 billion and in 2008 it jumped to 9.5 billion animals. There are no outliers in this data because the amounts increase steadily. The median amount of kills per year is 8 billion. In conclusion, food animal slaughters have exponentially increased from 1950 to 2008 and the results show that they will probably continue to increase.
