This report will focus on the data below, which was collected by using a statcrunch survey about the amount of time college students spend on social media websites.
1.The sampling method in which I used was to survey students in my statistics class. This was mostly a volunteer sample method.
2. My four survey questions are:
1. What is your age?
2. What is your gender?
3. What is the average number of hours you are on your phone/ computer throughout the day?
4. While on your electronics, how much of that time is on social media websites?

The first frequency table represents the first question asked in the survey. The average age of college students who participated in the survey is shown. The second, third, and fourth frequency tables are all similar to the first table, they are all in the same order as the questions in the survey. The average age of college students in this survey is 19.5 which is almost 20. The average gender is a 5/1 ratio of females to males. The average number of hours spent on electronic devices throughout a given day is 5 hours.

After analyzing the data that had been found from the results of the survey, these detailed charts and graphs were constructed in order to be able to more easily interpret the results of the survey. First a bar graph shows the correlation between gender and the amount of hours spent on electronic devices throughout a day.

First I stated my hypothesis which I thought was going to be below hour for the mean amount of hours on social media websites. The Null hypothesis was the opposite of this. Next, I conducted a sample throught statcrunch and came to the conclusion that my hypothesis was incorrect. My hypothesis was incorrect because the mean is 3.75.
The number of hours spent on social media websites was more than I had predicted.
