POPULATION: Facebook Community

For those who answered no-Mean: 55290.25 Frequency:.11 The age of participants. (16-20) Frequency.14, (21-25) Frequency. 61, (26-30) Frequency .14, Frequency (31-35).32, (36 and older) Frequency 0.6
STATISCAL ANAYLYSIS: Upon our observations we concluded that 64% of our participants agree that medication and therapy is effective in coping with depression and/or stress. 36% disagree that both methods are ineffective. 0.06% prefers medication, while 67% prefer therapy. 28% prefer neither method.
In conclusion we can assume that our participants chose to consider no method in coping with depression because the word therapy can seem ambiguous. In our decision making, to decrease the amount of participants choosing no method of coping with depression, we've decided to educate our population on the definition of therapy. Therapy includes not only referencing to opinions from doctors, family or friends but it also includes negative and positive aspects. These aspects may include exercise, attending religious services, drug/alcohol use, help lines, entertainment, etc. In doing this we could possibly increase awareness and encouraging the pursuit of other measures to managing stress.
